GOOD TO KNOW

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need the WhatsApp API?

No. QR Cove creates an ordinary WhatsApp click-to-chat link locally.

Does it send the message automatically?

No. The QR code opens a conversation with a suggested message. The person still decides whether to send it.

What number format should I use?

Include the international country code. The generator removes spaces and punctuation from the wa.me URL.

♧
OUR PRIVACY PROMISE

Your content stays yours.

Our QR generator does its work on your device. QR contents and uploaded center logos are not transmitted to our application server. The website host may process basic technical request logs. Future advertising services may collect data according to their own privacy rules; we'll update this policy before activating advertisements.

A WhatsApp QR code uses an ordinary wa.me link. Add a phone number with country code and an optional draft message; scanning opens WhatsApp when supported. No messaging API is needed. Use it for small-business inquiries, customer help, appointments, or printed product packaging.

What happens when someone scans

WhatsApp QR links point to a specific phone number, optionally with a suggested first message. When a person scans the code on a compatible phone, WhatsApp or a browser may open the chat. The message is not sent automatically; the person still chooses whether to send it. QR Cove does not send messages or see the conversations that follow. Make sure the country code is included, and test with a phone that has WhatsApp installed.

Use cases and safety

A WhatsApp QR code can make it easier for a customer to ask a question, a visitor to contact an organizer, or a parent to reach a community group administrator. Avoid implying that the code is an official WhatsApp feature provided by QR Cove. If the phone number changes or becomes unavailable, the static QR will still encode that old destination. Keep printed codes updated to prevent directing people to the wrong number.
