Cryptocurrency addresses can be long and easy to mistype. A QR code lets a compatible wallet or scanner read an encoded destination. For Bitcoin, QR Cove can use a bitcoin: payment URI with an optional BTC amount. For Ethereum and other currencies, this tool currently encodes plain address text; wallet apps vary in what they recognize. Useful when accepting a payment, labeling a wallet address for personal records or displaying a donation address. Always test with the intended wallet.
Crypto address formats vary by network and wallet. This tool offers a structured Bitcoin payment URI and basic address-only codes for Ethereum and other supported address strings. An address may look plausible without belonging to the network or account you intend. QR Cove does not validate funds, ownership, chain compatibility, or settlement. Most cryptocurrency transfers cannot be reversed just because an address was mistyped. Always confirm the complete recipient address and blockchain network inside your wallet.
Static QR images can be saved in printable formats, but a code printed in public may be photographed or replaced. When asking for a Bitcoin payment, choose an amount only if you want the compatible wallet to pre-fill it, and remember that exchange rates change. When using Ethereum or another currency, a plain-address QR is not the same as an automatic wallet payment request. Test with the exact wallet application you expect your audience to use.
