QR COVE GUIDES
vCard QR codes for business cards
What a contact QR contains
A vCard QR code contains contact fields such as a name, organization, phone number, email and website. Compatible phones can offer to import those details into contacts. It is not an automatic address-book update, and different camera and contacts apps may handle fields differently. Share only information you want every recipient of the card to have.
Keep the payload practical
Open the Contact tool and enter the essential work details. Include a country calling code in phone numbers and check email spelling. Long notes and multiple addresses can make the QR symbol denser. A concise business contact is usually easier to print clearly than a complete biography.
Style conservatively
Use a high-contrast color combination and preserve the blank margin. A center logo hides part of the code, so treat the scan-readiness score as a warning aid rather than a guarantee. Test both a plain version and the logo version. Download vector SVG for a print designer and keep the code square in the layout.
Test the saved contact, not just the scan
Print a proof at the intended business-card size. Scan it on an iPhone and Android phone, open the contact preview and check the saved name, company, phone, email and website. Confirm that important fields are not merged or lost. A static vCard keeps the original details: if your phone number changes, update the image and future cards. For frequently changing information, consider a URL code linking to a contact page you maintain.
